Administration

This section covers system administration: managing users and roles, monitoring system health through logs, and managing API keys.

Only users with the ADMIN role can access the Administration and System Logs tabs.

User Management

Users and roles

User management is under the Administration tab in the sidebar. Only ADMIN users can manage other users.

Roles

Each user can have one or more roles:

RoleAccess
ADMINFull access. User management, system logs, all content and technical features
DEVTechnical features (schemas, snapshots, API keys, CSV import) plus content management
CONTENTContent management: statements, categories, translations, Google Sheets sync
DESIGNLimited content access for reviewing statements

Roles are additive – a user with both CONTENT and DEV has access to everything both roles grant.

System

System logs and monitoring

System logs

The System Logs tab shows application logs stored in the database. Logs are automatically cleaned up after one week.

Log levels

  • error – Failures that need attention (failed API calls, database errors, unhandled exceptions)
  • warn – Issues that didn’t cause a failure but might indicate problems (deprecation warnings, slow queries)
  • info – Normal operational events (user logins, snapshot publishes, import completions)
  • debug – Detailed diagnostic info (request payloads, query timing, cache hits/misses)
